Orientation Program 2011

Orientation Programme 2011 for the new entrants in engineering stream was held in SMS Institute of Technology, Lucknow on 16 August, 2011. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof. Kripashankar, Honb’le Vice Chancellor, GBTU Lucknow. Mr. Himanshu Kumar, Head HR (North), Tata Consultancy Services, Lucknow and Mr. P. C. Tripathi, Sr. Vice President, C & S Electricals, New Delhi were the Guests of Honour of the programme. The students were also blessed by Mr. Sharad Singh, CEO, SMS Group of Institutions, Prof. G. D. Singh, Director, SMS Institute of Technology, Prof. M. Mehrotra, Director, School of Management Sciences, Lucknow and Prof. B. R. Singh, Associate Director, SMS Group of Institutions.

Mr. Himanshu Kumar inspired the students to achieve excellence in their professional career by making their life disciplined and goal oriented. He shared his valued experiences of industry with the audience.

Mr. P C Tripathi focused on the hard working and moral oriented professional life. He quoted several slokas and lines from the epics to motivate the students. He focused on the role of honesty in student as well as professional life.

Prof. Kripashankar made the session interactive with his valuable experiences of IIT and foreign universities. He emphasized the role of attendance in the class. He also shared his success tips with the students.
